10 | Here is a view of the pack. You can see that the sky has darkened. We decided to give up following the pack because of the impending nightfall and our desire to have 'a cocktail at sunset'. Out came all our gear from our vehicle. Suddenly while drinking a beer, out of nowhere came this Wild Dog with others following. The lead dog almost crashed into our vehicle and turned with the others following obviously on a chase. We gave up our drink, packed up very quickly and followed, but lost them and had to give up because of darkness. Note that 80% of chases by Wild Dogs end up with a meal and I am confident that they had theirs that night just as we did back at our Lodge-tent |
